Once checked in at the shop and all equipment has been fitted and loaded, guests will be driven approximately 2 miles to the Kukuiula Small Boat Harbor. At the Harbor, students will be given a detailed briefing about the fundamentals of SCUBA diving, including basic theory, safety, equipment use, and underwater communication. Once the briefing is complete, participants will have the chance to practice several skills and get comfortable in the water with their SCUBA equipment. Once the training portion of the course is complete, it's a short walk to the boat where you will get a boat safety briefing from one of our coast guard certified captains. Our maximum depth for each dive is 40 ft and we will do two dives from the boat at some of the most famous South Shore dive sites in Kauai.
The whole experience takes roughly half a day, and any skills performed car be credited towards a PADI Open Water Course the first step in becoming a certified SCUBA diver. Snacks and drinks are provided on our dive boat which is the largest and most spacious dive boat on the Island.
